CERAMIC SCULPTURES

SERIESWedding Dresses of No Body
8 works

A series within Portraits of No Body, exploring identity, memory, and belonging through the symbolic language of ceremonial clothing. Created as bodyless garments, the sculptures suggest presence through absence, inviting viewers to imagine the lives, rituals, and emotions they once held.

The wedding dress, often seen as a symbol of union, expectation, and transformation, becomes a vessel for personal histories and collective memory. Wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted, each piece balances the precision of functional ceramics with the expressive qualities of sculpture, creating forms that exist between object, garment, and memory. Together, the works reflect on what remains when the body is absent, and on the enduring relationship between identity and the traces we leave behind.

SERIESPortraits of NoBody
57 works

My ongoing body of work, exploring clothing as a vessel of identity, memory, and belonging. Created as bodyless ceramic garments, the sculptures suggest presence through absence, inviting viewers to encounter the traces of lives rather than the figures themselves.

Within this body of work, different series investigate everyday and ceremonial clothing as personal and cultural archives, examining how garments preserve memory, embody ritual, and continue to carry identity beyond the physical body.

Buying a work

Are the sculptures originals?
Yes. Every piece is an original ceramic sculpture, hand-built and finished by Guy Hivroni in Jerusalem. Most works are one of a kind; where a piece belongs to a limited series, its page says so.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Every work is packed by hand in protective custom packaging and fully insured in transit for its purchase price. In Israel you can choose insured delivery (₪150) or free collection from the studio in Jerusalem. For international orders, shipping is quoted for your address after the order and paid through a separate link; import duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. Works are dispatched within 5 business days of payment and usually arrive within 2–5 business days in Israel, or 5–14 internationally.
How do I pay, and in which currency?
Buyers in Israel see prices in shekels, VAT included, and pay by credit card or Bit through PayMe, or with PayPal. Buyers outside Israel see prices in US dollars and pay with PayPal.
Can I return a work?
Yes, within 14 days of delivery, under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law. If the work is not faulty, it must come back undamaged in its original packaging, and the refund is the price less a cancellation fee of 5% or ₪100, whichever is lower. A work that arrives damaged or not as described is refunded in full, including shipping. Full details are in the Terms & Conditions.
What if a work arrives damaged?
Keep the packaging and write to the studio within 14 days of delivery, with photographs of the work and of the box. Every shipment is insured, so the studio handles the claim and offers you a full refund including shipping, or a repair or replacement agreed with you.
Can I commission a piece or visit the studio?
Yes. Commissions are welcome, and studio visits in Jerusalem are by appointment. Write to hivroni@gmail.com or use the contact page.
