A ceramic sculpture exploring the tension between concealment and presence. The fitted evening gown, with its soft pleats and strict silhouette, exudes elegance while evoking restraint and distance.
The upper section, with its folded collar and central button, recalls traditional nun attire, while the hollowed-out face intensifies the sense of absence. The ceramic material solidifies the form as a frozen figure.
As in my other works, the missing human figure invites interpretation. Is this restrained femininity? A shell of someone who once was? Or a reflection on the intersection of spirituality and the body? To me, “Non” questions identity, symbolism, and the presence we leave behind.
